The UK Visa Application Center has started accepting visa applications today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives. Due to increased demand, the Center services will be extended till 9 August 2018 and the booking deadline has been extended till 1700hrs this evening. The Visa Centre will take the biometric enrolments and documents from all applicants who have made prior appointments.

The Government of the United Kingdom has established the Visa Application Center in the Maldives on the request of the Maldivian Government, in order to ease the process for those applying for UK visas, especially for students going to the United Kingdom for higher studies. The Maldives Government sees this as an important step in strengthening the services provided to Maldivians as part of President Yameen’s Foreign Policy.
