Director General for South Asia at the German Foreign Office, Mr. Markus Potzel pays courtesy call on Foreign Secretary

The Director General for South Asia at the German Foreign Office, Mr. Markus Potzel paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary, His Excellency Ahmed Sareer.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon, the Foreign Secretary and the Director General discussed about enhancing the existing bilateral ties between both Germany and Maldives, particularly in areas such as Climate change and countering terrorism and violent extremism. The Foreign Secretary Sareer also assured that the Maldives will continue working with Germany on important global issues of mutual concern.
The Foreign Secretary, His Excellency Ahmed Sareer was accompanied by His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, Secretary, Bilateral and Ms. Shiuneen Rasheed, Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Director General was accompanied by His Excellency Jörn Rohde, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Maldives.ENDS
