Minister of Foreign Affairs departs to India on an Official Visit

Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has departed today to New Delhi, India on his first official visit.
During his visit to New Delhi, Minister Shahid will meet with Her Excellency Sushma Swaraj and other high level officials of the Government of India, and hold discussions on strengthening the traditionally close friendly relations between the Maldives and India.
Minister Shahid is accompanied by the Minister of Finance His Excellency Ahmed Ameer, the Minister of Economic Development His Excellency Uz. Fayyaz Ismail, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, Foreign Secretary His Excellency Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.
