The Governments of Maldives and China Sign Exchange of Letters on the Renovation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building

The Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the People’s Republic of China signed an exchange of letters on the Renovation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building complex, today.
The exchange of letters were signed by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, and Ambassador of China to the Maldives, His Excellency Zhang Lizhong, on behalf of their respective Governments.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of State, Ahmed Khaleel, noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building is, and will always remain, a symbol of the close friendly relationship between the Maldives and China.
Through this renovation work, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes to find a solution to its space shortage, and be better able to serve the people of the Maldives.
Today’s ceremony was witnessed by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of China in the Maldives.
