Ambassador of Maldives to Singapore His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Mausoom presents his Letter of Credence to President of Singapore Her Excellency Madam Halimah Yacob

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Mausoom, presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of Singapore, Her Excellency Madam Halimah Yacob at the official ceremony held this morning at the Office of the President of the Republic of Singapore - Istana.
Following the ceremony, Madam President Halimah Yacob and Ambassador Mausoom exchanged greetings and good wishes, while acknowledging the close cordial relations that exist between the two countries. During the brief meeting, Madam President Halimah also expressed confidence that the Ambassador will work to reinforce the close ties even further during his tenure.
Ambassador Mausoom conveyed the greetings and good wishes from His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of the Republic of Maldives to Madam President Halimah Yacob and the friendly people of Singapore. He also reassured his commitment to work diligently in further strengthening the existing long-standing friendly ties between the two countries.
Ambassador Mausoom was accompanied at the ceremony by his spouse Madam Zeenaz Fahmee, Ms. Eman Hussain, Deputy Ambassador and Ms. Aminath Guraisha, Second Secretary at the Embassy of Maldives in Singapore.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Mausoom as the Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of Singapore on 18th February 2019.
