Temporary UK Visa Application Centre opens at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The temporary UK Visa Application Centre has started accepting visa applications today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Visa Centre will collect the biometric enrollments and documents from all applicants who have made prior appointments.
The Visa Application Centre will be open from 0900 hrs- 1700 hrs on 5-6 August 2019.
The Government of the United Kingdom has established the Visa Application Centre in the Maldives on the request of the Maldivian Government, in order to ease the process for those applying for UK visas, especially students going to the United Kingdom for higher studies. This is part of the government's broader efforts to ease and strengthen the consular services provided to Maldivians.

Foreign Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, attending the 12th Bali Democracy Forum, today participated in the panel discussion on "Developing inclusive policies: Market, Services, spaces." The main theme of BDF 2019 is "Democracy and Inclusivity".
