The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid met with Ms. Fountain Smith, Acting High Commissioner of Canada today. 

During the meeting, Minister Shahid discussed ways of further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries and thanked the Government of Canada for the continued support extended to the Maldives in the international arena. 
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs His Excellency Mr Ahmed Khaleel also attended the meeting.
