Maldives and Japan hold the First round of Maldives-Japan Policy Dialogue

The First round of Maldives-Japan Policy Dialogue between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan today.
During the consultations, the two countries discussed cooperation in areas of mutual interest including development, climate change, tourism and investment among others. The two countries also exchanged views on the ongoing Japanese government funded development projects.
The Maldives delegation was headed by Secretary, Bilateral H.E. Mr. Ahmed Khaleel and Japanese delegation was headed by the Director General at Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr.Takizaki. Secretary Bilateral was accompanied by H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Uvais, Ambassador-designate of Maldives to Japan, Mr. Ahmed Fazeel, Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Mr. Adam Hamid, First Secretary and Mr. Mohamed Thahseen, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Maldives in Japan.
