On 13 July 2022, Ambassador- Designate of Maldives to the Kingdom of Belgium and Head of Mission to the European Union, His Excellency Omar Abdul Razzak , presented a copy of his Letter of Credence to Mr Thierry Bechet, Chief of Protocol of European External Affairs Service.

Ambassador-Designate reiterated commitment of the Republic of Maldives to further enhance bilateral relations and cooperation with the EU.
